We Have moved !!!
Yes you might not know it, but we now have a new hosting. Many Thanks to Phil at Iris Photography for hosting and desgin the website over last 8 months or so.
The Isle of Wight Region of the JEC was founded 20 years ago, when member Ian Campbell had a chance meeting with fellow member Bob Steen at Le Mans in 1989. Having never met before, the two discovered that not only did they both come from the Isle of Wight but also from East Cowes! Their common ground also included a passion for Jaguar cars and as a result the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club IOW Region was founded and continues to grow to this day. Members own a range of Jaguars from XK's, Mark 2's and E-Types through the XJ series to the present day cars. The Club meets on the first Monday of each month at the Fighting Cocks, Arreton around 8pm for a pint and a natter about all things Jaguar - and many other things as well! The Club organises runs on summer weekends, sometimes with a bit of a challenge, often finding lunch at a comfortable pub or tea-room at some picturesque spot. In addition to these, there are organised Club visits to motoring events of interest such as the Classic Car Show at the NEC and Beaulieu Auto Jumble. Our own Regional Day is held in August, at Haven street Steam Railway and attracts a really good turnout of Jaguars, both from the Island and the mainland along with various other Classic Car Clubs. The Club’s AGM and dinner is held at the end of January / early February each year. We publish a monthly Newsletter and a quarterly magazine called “The Leaper”. We welcome new members with Jaguars or just an interest in the marque. Why not give our membership Secretary Iris Waters a ring on 01983 863750 or come to a club night at the Fighting Cocks. You can be sure of a warm welcome. The annual subscription is £15.00.
